WASHINGTON – Police say an undercover investigation over the last several months has led to the arrest of two men believed to be connected to major drug cartels.
Marcos Caballero-Moreno, 54, and Juan Sanchez Velasquez, 39, were arrested in Los Angeles on charges of selling Fairfax County officers drugs including cocaine and methamphetamine.
The officers had been in contact with the men by e-mail since May, and the two men delivered the drugs by mail and in person, according to a news release from the police.
The police also say that the two men set up a regular series of sales to the undercover officers, and that the drugs purchased and promised were worth more than $10 million.
The men have been charged with distribution of the drugs and money laundering.
