QUALIFICATIOS:

3-4 years professional broadcast experience

Strong interest in local professional and college sports

Excellent radio production/voicing skills

Ability to operate board equipment, ENCO , ENPS, Adobe Audition, ISDN

Thorough understanding of FCC guidelines regarding compliance with rules including indecency, profanity, payola/plugola, and contesting

Project an appropriate professional appearance and demeanor

Ability to work in compliance with company policies and procedures

Ability to function in a team environment

Ability to work established schedule and other hours as needed, nights and weekends

PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS:

Degree in Journalism, Communications, related field or related experience

Assertive, communicative, inquisitive

Knowledge and experience reporting news in a major market

Sports Junkie

DUTIES:

Produce radio broadcasts at various sporting events, including all technical setup elements, running a sound board, and engaging with broadcast talent.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. The Company will make reasonable physical accommodations to facilitate the ability to perform essential job functions

Ability to communicate in English both verbally and in writing

Manual dexterity and fine motor skills to manipulate computer keys and general office equipment (telephone, copier, calculator, etc.) for extended periods of time

Ability to hear and speak clearly and follow both oral and written direction
