Three Washington-area towns make the list of America’s top 50 small towns to live.
The list, put together by Money Magazine, considered towns that are not only thriving economically but also have everything you’d want to raise a family, such as green space, great schools and a strong sense of community.
Vienna, Va., ranks No. 3 on the list, thanks to its green space, a 45-mile bike path and a downtown dotted with one-of-a-kind stores and eateries.
Leesburg, Va., ranks No. 35 on the list. Money cited its charming downtown preserved by historical architecture and the town’s proximity to Virginia’s wine country.
Montgomery Village, Md., ranks No. 41 on the list, based on its mixed suburban comforts like pools, tennis courts and community centers.
Sharon, Mass., ranked in the No. 1 spot for its location to good jobs in Boston, Providence and the Route 128 tech corridor.
Companies and towns are taking to Twitter to show their hometown pride. From Apple Valley, Minn., to the Washington-area’s own Vienna, the rankings are drawing big social media attention for these small towns. And why shouldn’t they? Lists are great to push out on social media to gain attention, an easy way to connect and build your social audience.
