WASHINGTON – Beatboxing can be more than just a party trick left to the realm of less-than-skilled frat boys and wannabe hip-hoppers.
Take an Australian guy who goes by the name Tom Thum. His performance at a Tedx event in Sydney was published on YouTube July 8 and has earned more than 4.2 million views.
In an epic performance, Thum uses his voice to create everything from backbeats to a cultural tour of different countries. He spits out a rendition of Michael Jackson’s “Billie Jean” and closes with a multi-instrumental jazz club performance.
