WASHINGTON – Your dad may not have to go to Spain for this unique Father’s Day gift, but he will have to sign a waiver: it’s a chance to run with the bulls.
The Great Bull Run is set to take place in central Virginia on Aug. 24.
It will be held at the Virginia Motorsports Park in Dinwiddie County. It is the real deal and just like in Spain, there will be a tomato fight.
But if you don’t need that adrenaline rush – after all, 15 people have died in the running of the bulls in Pamplona since they began keeping record in 1910 – you can still watch the event for $10.
If you miss this one, there is another one scheduled for Atlanta in October. Organizers say there are others scheduled across the country and more are being added.
