Arlington County Police are responding to a report of an attempted bank robbery in the Cherrydale neighborhood.
According to initial reports, a man entered the SunTrust bank at 3713 Lee Highway around 11:00 a.m. and passed a note to a teller demanding money. No weapon was seen, and the man reportedly fled before receiving any cash.
The suspect is described as a black male wearing a red Nationals hat, a navy blue raincoat, gray jeans and New Balance sneakers. The man was between 5′ 9″ and 5′ 10″, in his mid-40s, with a black and gray beard.
