WTOP-ROLLING STONES SONG OF THE DAY
OFFICIAL RULES
1. HOW TO ENTER/HOW THE WINNER IS CHOSEN: NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.
This is a “listen and win” contest. The contest will run Monday through Friday May 13-17, 2013. Listen to WTOP Radio at 103.5 FM, 103.9 FM or 107.7 FM during the following hours: 7 a.m. hour Monday, 5 p.m. hour Tuesday, 6 a.m. hour Wednesday, 12 p.m. hour Thursday, and 4 p.m. hour Friday of that week – and listen for the station to play the “Rolling Stones Song of the Day” snippet. After the “Rolling Stones” song snippet is played each day, listeners must go to the contest section of the www.wtop.com website and fill out an entry form, which includes identifying the name of the song that was played on the air that day. The answer must include entire name of song. Listeners must fill out the entry form in its entirety to be eligible, and only correct answers will be eligible for a drawing for the prize. Listeners will have until 11:59:59 p.m. EST each day the snippet is played to go to the WTOP website to enter. A different song will be played each day. Listeners may enter a new entry each day during the contest, but can only enter once per day. From each day’s entries received with the correct name of the Rolling Stones song snippet that was played on air that day, one (1) name will be randomly drawn to be that day’s winner. Non-winning entries will NOT be carried over to the next day’s drawing. Each winner will be notified by telephone and/or email. WTOP reserves the right to draw a backup winner if any original winner does not respond within 24 hours of being contacted. There will be a total of five (5) winners, one (1) each day during the contest. “The Rolling Stones” songs or music occurring during promotional announcements do not count as a listener’s chance to enter; listeners are only eligible to enter the contest when the “song” is played during the designated contest hours, not in conjunction with a promotional announcement.
WTOP is not responsible for delays attributable to webcasting, telephone line unavailability, busy signals on the contest line, operator interference, technical or atmospheric conditions that disrupt the completion of the phone call, telephone system malfunctions, or any other telephone problems which may or may not result from this contest.
Limit: One winner per household. Winners are only eligible if they have not won anything from WTOP in the previous sixty (60) days.
2. PRIZES: There will be four winners in this contest; one (1) winner each day during the contest. Each winner will receive a pair (2) of tickets to see The Rolling Stones June 24, 2013 at the Verizon Center. The concert date is subject to change due to NHL Hockey playoffs. WTOP is not responsible should the date of concert change. The value of each prize is approximately $ 300.00
3. CLAIMING A PRIZE: Each daily winner has eight (12) hours from the day he or she wins to verify that he/she is a qualified winner and either accept or decline the prize. If WTOP does not hear from a winner within 12 hours of being contacted, WTOP reserves the right to draw another name as the winner from the remaining eligible entries. Once a winner has completed the prize verification process, the tickets will be sent via Federal Express to the address provided by the winner. WTOP is not responsible for delivery errors by Federal Express, loss by Federal Express, loss by the listener, or listener being unable to accept a delivery. Each winner may be required to prove he or she is a qualified winner by presenting identification acceptable to WTOP (e.g., state driver’s license; state issued identification card; valid passport with address verification; or birth certificate with social security card and photo identification and address verification). If a winner cannot prove he or she is a qualified winner, the prize will not be awarded. All unclaimed prizes remain the property of WTOP. Prizes may not be issued to winners unless a social security number is presented for possible tax purposes.
A qualified winner must also meet the eligibility requirements as set forth in Paragraph 4 of these rules. The winners are responsible for any applicable income taxes. All federal, state and local laws apply
4. ELIGIBILITY: Individuals must be 18 years or older and residents of Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia or Washington, D. C. Limit: one winner per household. In order to be eligible to win a prize in this contest, you cannot have won any prize from WTOP sixty (60) days prior to the awarding of a prize in this contest. These restrictions apply even if you reject the prize. Employees of AEG, Hubbard Radio Washington, LLC, Hubbard Radio, LLC, WTOP, or other radio stations in WTOP’s DMA, or any of their subsidiaries, and their immediate families, are not eligible to enter. Anyone participating in this contest or claiming a prize in this contest in violation of these rules will be disqualified from winning a prize in this contest and from participating in WTOP contests for a period of one year.
5. RELEASE; CONSENT: Winners may be required to execute an affidavit of eligibility. Each winner (a) agrees to release Hubbard Radio, LLC, Hubbard Radio Washington, LLC, Hubbard Broadcasting, Inc. and WTOP (including their subsidiaries, affiliates, parent or related companies) from any and all liability, claims, damages and actions arising directly or indirectly out of or sustained in connection with the awarding or acceptance of the prize(s), and/or misuse of any prize, or to participation in the contest or in prize-related activities, including any travel related thereto, and (b) consents to the use by WTOP for promotional purposes, of his or her likeness, voice (and/or address (city/state) without any additional compensation. By participating in this contest, each participant agrees to receive promotional and/or news related emails and alerts from WTOP only. No information is provided to third parties. By participating in this contest, each participant agrees to the application of these official rules.
6. WINNER LIST: For a list of winners (names only), send a self-addressed, stamped envelope before May 31, 2013 to Rolling Stones contest c/o WTOP, 3400 Idaho Avenue N.W., Washington, D. C. 20016.
7. MISCELLANEOUS:
Decisions of WTOP concerning any and all matters with respect to this contest shall be final. Contest void where prohibited or otherwise restricted by law. WTOP reserves the right to change the prize values at any time. WTOP is not responsible for printing errors in the contest materials or these rules. WTOP is not responsible for telephone line unavailability, busy signals on the contest line, operator interference, technical or atmospheric conditions that disrupt the completion of the phone call, telephone system malfunctions, or any other telephone problems which may or may not result from this contest.
