WASHINGTON — Looking for a new home that has 12 bedrooms, nine bathrooms and a separate floor for the staff? Look no more.
Listed at a mere $190 million, a home for sale in Greenwich, Conn. is the most expensive house in the United States.
The nearly 14,000-square-foot home with a 75-foot swimming pool was built in 1896 by a U.S. steel magnate and has only changed hands once in 1999 when its current owner bought it.
It might be hard to find a buyer who can afford such an estate, but the realtor likely won’t mind the work: The commission is more than $9 million.
