WASHINGTON – The body of an 83-year-old woman who went missing after getting off a plane at Reagan National Airport has been found in Arlington, police say.
Victoria Kong was last seen at the airport Friday at 6:30 p.m. She was walking north along the Mount Vernon trail that heads toward Gravelly Point.
Her body was found Monday afternoon about 30 feet from the trail in a wooded area, U.S. Park Police say.
Officials also found her purse. They do not suspect foul play, police say.
Kong’s granddaughter told ABC 7 Kong was showing early signs of dementia, and that she was supposed to be escorted off the plane by wheelchair.
