WASHINGTON (AP) – Metropolitan police are investigating the fatal shooting of a 16-year-old boy in Southeast.
Police say the boy was found shortly after 12:30 a.m. Sunday in the 2700 block of Langston Place, Southeast. He was suffering from a gunshot wound and was not breathing. He died at a hospital.
Police have identified the victim as Darius Cannon.
No suspects are in custody, but police have said they were looking for a 19- year-old man armed with a handgun.
Police are offering a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction in any homicide. Anyone with information should call 202-727-9099.
