WASHINGTON – A 3-year-old girl was seriously injured after falling from a fourth-floor apartment in Montgomery County Monday morning.
The incident happened just after 9 a.m. on Bel Pre Road, says Capt. Paul Starks of the Montgomery County Police Department.
Starks says police think the girl or her 5-year-old brother may have opened a window and were looking outside before the girl fell. Police say two adult family members were home at the time.
The girl was taken to Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring and was later transferred to Children’s Hospital, where she was in serious but stable condition
