WASHINGTON – A woman drove a car into a home in Prince George’s County Tuesday afternoon.
Prince George’s County police say the woman was going down a hill and hit the gas instead of the brake when she came to a stop sign. Her car barreled into a home in the 10800 block of Maiden Drive in Glenn Dale, Md.
The homeowner wasn’t in the house at the time, although a dog was. It wasn’t hurt.
Prince George’s County Fire Department spokesman Mark Brady says the driver had injuries that were not life-threatening. He says the car’s removal will be coordinated by homeowners insurance officials.
The crash was the second Tuesday to involve a vehicle hitting a house. A group of teens stole a truck and crashed it into a home in Dale City, Va., at about 8 a.m.
No one was hurt in that incident.
