CAPITOL HEIGHTS, Md. – Prince George’s County police are looking for a suspect in the slaying of an elderly woman in Capitol Heights.
Police say 71-year-old Geraldine McIntyre was found suffering from trauma to the body Saturday afternoon when police arrived at her home to check on her well-being. She was taken to a hospital, where she died.
Police have released a description of a possible suspect, described as a black male, 5’7″ to 5’9″, about 30 to 45 years old, with a slim build and dark complexion. Police say he may been wearing a dark brown or black leather jacket, a black skull cap, black pants and may have been carrying a black bag.
Police say the motive is still unclear.
Detectives were out in the neighborhood Sunday afternoon passing out flyers with a picture of the victim.
