WASHINGTON – A cultural phenomenon becomes official once there are T-shirts, right?
Either way, “Eastwooding,” has made its way onto cotton T’s and now apparel sporting pictures of empty chairs are available for purchase.
The concept of “Eastwooding” was born at the Republican Convention in August when legendary actor and director Clint Eastwood gave a speech using an empty chair as a prop and had a conversation with an imaginary President Barack Obama, whom Eastwood said was sitting there.
The T-shirts, as expected, show pictures of empty chairs usually paired with catchphrases, such as, “Really?” “I’m with Clint,” or “This chair needs a new occupant.”
Here’s some of the available “Eastwooding” products.
