Shake Shack, the New York-based burger chain that draws lines of devoted fans each day at its Dupont Circle location, will open next year within the International Spy Museum Complex.
The restaurant will be in Penn Quarter at 800 F St. NW, in the Spy City Cafe location. Another restaurant at the museum, Zola, closed June 30; that space remains vacant. Square footage of the site wasn’t immediately available.
Shake Shack can be found locally at Nationals Park as well.
The restaurant will be built out of sustainable materials. It will serve Shake Shack’s normal fare, plus a dessert called a frozen custard concrete (guessing that means it’s super thick) in a variety of flavors.
