WASHINGTON – Pole dancing as an Olympic sport? Look for it in 2016, if the International Pole Sports Federation has its way, the Huffington Post reports.
The IPSF took its case to London with the World Pole Sport Championship in July.
At the competition both men and women competed in both singles and doubles categories.
The dancing takes incredible strength and athleticism, experts say. But to be respected, they say the sport needs to be recognized by the Olympics.
