WASHINGTON – While it is wedding season, Metro riders were not expecting to see a couple get hitched on a Yellow Line train.
Over the weekend, a couple was married while the train crossed the Potomac River. Flickr user Sciascia captured the moment on his iPhone and posted the photos and a short video.
“I was minding my own business on the yellow line when all of a sudden, as we crossed the potomac, a wedding broke out. these are my new favorite people ever,” he writes.
“But if I knew I’d have been going to a wedding, I wouldn’t have worn flipflops.”
After the wedding was first reported by the Prince of Petworth blog, Twitter user @Lisatella identified the bride as Kaarin Moore, the owner of Closet Caucus, a fashion and wardrobe consulting firm in D.C.
An email to Closet Caucus returned an auto reply that stated:
Hello! I am getting hitched (and going on a fashionable holiday) and thus will be out of the office from June 8th through June 26th. Please continue to send messages and I will get back to you as soon as possible! Best wishes, Kaarin
