WASHINGTON – Construction on the first phase of the Dulles Rail Project could be disruptive to commuters Tuesday and Wednesday.
Parts of Magarity Road in Fairfax County may be closed between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday as five large trucks deliver traction substation components for the Dulles Rail project in the Tysons Corner area. Those stations will eventually maintain the flow of power for the rail line.
The trucks will use Interstate 81, parts of Routes 7 and 28, Westpark Drive and Sterling Boulevard.
Phase one, which is taking Metro subway service from East Falls Church, through Tysons Corner and out to Reston, is expected to be completed in late 2013.
