WASHINGTON – Prince George’s County police found over 23 pounds of pot in a Suitland apartment Friday.
Leon Flythe, 28, of Suitland, Md., was arrested and charged with felony possession with the intent to distribute large amounts of marijuana, along with other drug-related charges.
Police say they searched Flythe’s apartment Friday morning. Flythe is a known gang member, they say.
They also confiscated more than $4,000 in cash and ammunition.
Flythe is being held on a $60,000 bond.
The arrest and drug seizure are part of the Transforming Neighborhoods Initiative, led by County Executive Rushern Baker III. Suitland is one of six neighborhoods targeted in the initiative, police say.
