WASHINGTON – First, it was The Boss. Then Madonna. Now, D.C.-area Radiohead fans have something to cheer about.
The iconic and experimental alt-rockers will be playing the District’s Verizon Center on June 3, according to the band’s website. Tickets will go on sale Thursday via the band’s fan club, and Saturday at 10 a.m. to the general public. They’ll reportedly cost $69.50 each.
The indoor venue should dampen the weather-related issues that plagued Radiohead’s last live show in the area in 2008. DCist reminds that downpours, flooding and parking issues caused a fair amount of angst not related to the band’s music or performance at the since-renamed Nissan Pavilion in Bristow, Va.
