Kaiser Permanente will open a new medical center in Gaithersburg this month, replacing services offered at its facilities in Germantown and Gaithersburg and extending available services at the combined site, The Gazette reported.
The new site, at 655 Watkins Mill Road, is a 175,000-square-foot, full-service facility, offering everything provided by the existing centers plus round-the-clock urgent care services and a 23-hour-stay clinical observation unit. The center opens March 19. The move also shifts some services, such as allergy and neurology, out of its Kensington center.
