Loudoun County business leaders are considering whether the county should form an economic development authority, Leesburg Today reports. The discussions come after the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority said last month it added more than 9,000 jobs in 2011.
Legislation authorizing the creation of a Loudoun EDA was enacted in the 1990s, but the Board of Supervisors elected to maintain the county department with a board-appointed Economic Development Commission as an advisory body.
