Fake bombs breach D.C. security

WASHINGTON — Fake bombs have made it past checkpoints at the Wilson building and other D.C. as part of a test by undercover police.

The security breaches are outlined in a memo obtained by the Service Workers Employees International Union, The Washington Post reports.

The memo says police recruits made it through security with fake cell phone bombs at the John A. Wilson Building, One Judiciary Square and a city building on Fourth Street in Northwest.

The only building that passed the test was Metropolitan Police Headquarters.
