Combat training simulation planned in Bethesda

WASHINGTON — If you hear the sounds of gunfire and yelling near the Naval Support Activity Bethesda facility Tuesday, don’t worry. It’s a training exercise.

NSA Bethesda says it will conduct combat casualty training for medical students in the woods and at a pond adjacent to the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences.

“There may be occasional yelling, simulated sounds of gunfire, or other noises, but these are part of the realistic training and are no cause for alarm,” NSA Bethesda said.

The trails near the pond will be closed during the exercises.

Training exercises will be held Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
