WASHINGTON — Police are searching for a man involved in an armed robbery at a Montgomery County candy store last week.
On July 21, a man walked into The Candy Man located at 1351 Lamberton Drive in Kemp Mill and asked the cashier for change for a dollar. The cashier opened the register and handed the change over to the man, who presented a knife.
The cashier fled and called police.
The suspect is described as a white man between 5-feet-9-inches and 6-feet tall who weighs between 170 and 200 pounds. He has short black hair and possibly a mustache, police say.
At the time of the robbery, the suspect possibly had a chain hanging from his shorts.
Police have not released information about how much money the suspect stole from the business.
Anyone who has information about this suspect or the robbery is asked to call the Montgomery County police at 240-773-5100.
