WASHINGTON — People who are supposed to have their trash picked up Monday could be affected by the strike by workers at Unity Disposal & Recycling.
The strike began in Montgomery and Howard counties on Friday. Unity has hired replacement workers to pick up trash and recycling, county spokeswoman Bonnie Ayers says, but pickup might not be picked up on time in areas that are affected by the strike.
Still, the Montgomery County government says that trash and recycling will be picked up, and should be out on your curb by 7 a.m.
If it’s not picked up by 7 p.m., the county advises, call 311 — and leave the materials on the curb.
