At long last, the Major League Baseball postseason is upon us. After two division ties forced a pair of Games 163 on Monday, the field is set for the Wild Card games, beginning Tuesday night in Chicago.
This year, instead of providing traditional, stock previews, we’re taking a different route. With no local teams vying for the World Series, instead we’re bringing perspectives from people with ties to each of the 10 teams still competing for baseball’s ultimate prize.
Each preview below is, as a result, personal. They aren’t necessarily intended to persuade you to root for any particular team, but they may have that effect. Enjoy them, and enjoy the games. It’s the most wonderful time of the baseball year.
