New Georgia women’s coach Crenshaw hires assistant Lange

New Georgia coach Joni Crenshaw has hired Karen Lange from Charlotte as associate head coach.

Lange spent four seasons as an assistant at Charlotte, the last two as associate head coach. She previously was an assistant at Virginia Tech for seven seasons and at Kansas for six seasons.

Lange, the former Karen Clayton, was a point guard at Iowa from 1992-96.

In 21 years as a player and coach, Lange’s team reached postseason play 18 times.

Crenshaw was hired to replace Andy Landers as coach on April 12 after serving four years on Landers’ staff. Landers was the Lady Bulldogs’ coach for 36 years.
