WASHINGTON – All lanes of the the northbound Baltimore-Washington Parkway have reopened after a crash early Friday closed the entire parkway just after Md. 32.
The crash happened just after 3 a.m. The left lane of the northbound lanes reopened just before 5 a.m. All lanes reopened just before 8 a.m.
When the northbound lanes were closed, traffic was diverted to Md. 32, and drivers headed to Baltimore Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport or Baltimore were advised to use Interstate 95 as an alternate route.
Park Police say a single car was involved in the crash, and the person in the vehicle was taken to a hospital with serious injuries.
