WASHINGTON — Two people have been arrested and charged with the murder of a man found dead in his backyard in 2014. One of those arrested is the man’s widow.
Cecil Brown was found dead in his Takoma Park backyard on Aug. 4, 2014.
On Thursday, Larlane L. Brown, 68, and Hussain Ali Zadeh, 49, were arrested at Marshall BWI Airport.
Baltimore Customs and Border Protection Unit, working with the Takoma Park Police, detained Zadeh at customs as he was returning to the country. Brown, who was at the airport to pick Zadeh up, was also arrested.
Takma Park Police say Cecil Brown died of blunt force trauma and the arrests come after an “exhaustive” investigation.
NBC4 reports the Browns had been married for 51 years.
