WASHINGTON — The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office has identified and charged three teenagers allegedly involved in a series of vandalism cases that targeted homes and vehicles in the western part of the county.
Homes were targeted and vehicles were damaged by BB guns and guns, according to police information.
The three teenagers — two 17 years old and a 13-year-old — face felony and misdemeanor charges in connection with the crimes.
One of the 17-year-old suspects and the 13-year-old are facing two felony counts of missile at an occupied dwelling, three felony counts of missile at a vehicle, one felony count of conspiracy to shoot or throw a missile at a vehicle, and three misdemeanor counts of destruction of property.
The second 17-year-old is facing three felony counts of missile at a vehicle, three felony counts of conspiracy to shoot or throw a missile at a vehicle, and three misdemeanor counts of destruction of property.
The names of the teenagers cannot be released because they are juveniles.
The incidents began June 27 and continued through July. The Loudoun County Sheriff’s office increased patrols in the area. The incidents appeared to be random.
