WASHINGTON — Two people are dead in what investigators are calling an apparent domestic murder-suicide in Ashburn, Virginia.
The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office says deputies came to a home on Rockfield Court after a 911 call from someone in the house reporting a shooting and making suicidal statements, before disconnecting. When deputies got there, they couldn’t make contact with anyone in the house.
The Sheriff’s department says it initially treated the incident as a barricade situation, telling people living nearby to stay indoors, then entered the home. They found a man and woman inside; both were dead.
Sheriffs haven’t identified the pair, pending notification of next of kin. They’re still investigating.
