Videos of women on Metro show up on porn site

WASHINGTON — Videos of young women riding Metrorail have surfaced on a pornographic website that’s similar to YouTube.

The low angle images zoom in on the private parts of seated women wearing very short shorts and revealing skirts. Many video titles label the subjects as teenagers.

A contributor to the D.C. neighborhood blog PoPville expressed concern about the videos Monday, Dec. 29 titling the post: “Creep filming women on Metro.”

The Metro Transit Police Department says it finds the report disturbing and detectives are investigating, according to Caroline Laurin, spokeswoman for the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority.

Laurin says riders should  report harassment or unusual behavior to the police, even if the matter does not rise to the level of a crime. Reports can be made online, by phone at 202-962-21212 or by text to MyMTPD.

Women whose videos have appeared on the site can file a complain and request that they be removed by emailing help@xhamster.com.

This summer a Virginia man was arrested for taking similar pictures of women sitting on steps at the Lincoln Memorial.

A D.C. Superior Court Judge dismissed voyeurism charges, ruling that any passerby could see under the women’s skirts because of the way they were sitting.
