FILE – In this Monday, Jan. 19, 2015 file photo, Italian Creative Director Alessandro Michele, center, acknowledges the applause of the audience after presenting Gucci men’s Fall-Winter 2015-2016 collection, part of the Milan Fashion Week, unveiled in Milan, Italy. The Gucci fashion house has named Alessandro Michele as creative director for all the brands, succeeding Frida Giannini. Michele, who was Giannini’s right-hand man, led the redesign of the entire menswear line for next autumn and winter, presented Monday during Milan Fashion Week, in just five days after Giannini left Gucci earlier than anticipated. The first collection under his name will be the women’s ready-to-wear for next autumn and winter, to be shown Feb. 25. Michele, 42, joined Gucci in 2002, becoming associate to the creative director in May 2011. He added the role of creative director of the Richard Ginori porcelain brand, owned by Gucci, last September. He previously worked as a senior accessories designer at Fendi and studied at the Accademia di Costume e di Moda in Rome. (AP Photo/Antonio Calanni, File)
