WASHINGTON — Fairfax County police are investigating a fatal accident where a woman was struck by a car in Reston, Virginia, Wednesday morning.

Police say the accident at Wiehle Avenue and Chestnut Grove Square occurred just before 6:30 a.m.
The woman died at Reston Hospital, police say.
Initially, police closed all of Wiehle Avenue.
All lanes reopened just before 9:30 a.m.
