WASHINGTON — A former teacher at a D.C. charter school was arrested Friday after the victim reported being sexually abused by him from 2011 to 2013.

Robert Leach, a 33-year-old from Silver Spring, Maryland, is being charged with first degree sexual abuse of a child.

The victim reported the abuse in 2014.

Leach fled the country and was eventually detained in England, where he was extradited back to the U.S. to face charges.
