WASHINGTON — One person is dead and six others injured in two separate shootings in D.C. Monday night.
Five men were shot in the area of Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue and Mellon Street in Southeast Washington just before 10 p.m. Police say their injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.
About an hour later, police say two men were shot on Forrester Street, Southwest. Police said one of the men died at the scene, and the other was taken to a hospital “in grave condition.” Police have not released any additional details.
Earlier Monday night, police said two men were stabbed near Howard University. They are expected to be OK.
