WASHINGTON — Continuing storms this week have once again affected MARC’s Brunswick Line service.
The Brunswick Line will operate on a modified schedule Thursday due to a “major track washout” between Point of Rocks and Brunswick, MARC said in a statement.
There will be no service at Martinsburg, Duffields, Harpers Ferry or Brunswick stations; and there will be limited service at Point of Rocks.
Four of nine trains that service the Brunswick Line are trapped at either Martinsburg or Brunswick. MARC said that full service may not be restored until Monday.

On Tuesday night, more than 80 people were trapped aboard a MARC train during the flash floods that hit Frederick County. The passengers, who were headed to the Brunswick station, were told they needed to go to the upper deck of their double-decker train to stay safe.
