WASHINGTON — The Metropolitan Police Department has released a list of roads around the White House that will be closed for periods of time during the shooting of Jeopardy!
Production on the trivia game show, hosted by Alex Trebek, will be at the Daughters of the American Revolution’s Constitution Hall from April 3-14.
According to ABC7, three different specials will be taped in front of a live studio audience.
While the show is only filming for a few days, there are several days of set up and take down involved with the tapings, says Ray Williams, the permit manager with D.C.’s Office of Cable Television, Film, Music & Entertainment.
Building the Jeopardy set will take about a week, Williams says. Also, the show has several trucks — including a satellite truck — that need to be easily accessible from the filming site throughout the project.
The Power Players show will be taped Saturday, April 9, the final rounds of the Teachers Tournament will be taped Sunday, April 10 and the Teen Tournament will be taped on Tuesday, April 12 and Wednesday, April 13 at DAR Constitution Hall.
Featured contestants include CNN anchorman Anderson Cooper, actor and comedian Louis C.K. and Sen. Al Franken (D-Minnesota).
