Dave & Buster’s comes to downtown Silver Spring

WASHINGTON — Dave & Buster’s newest Washington-area location is at the newly renovated Ellsworth Place in downtown Silver Spring.

Dave & Buster’s, which opened Monday, has taken about 41,000 square feet at the mall, the largest tenant, according to Ellsworth Place owner-developers Petrie Richardson Ventures and Rockwood Capital.

Dave & Buster’s joins Ellsworth Place anchor tenants Burlington Coat Factory, Not Your Average Joe’s, Guitar Center, Marshalls, Michaels, Ross and T.J. Maxx.

Kung Fu Tea, Rue 21 and Shoe City have also recently signed leases at Ellsworth Place. Other stores already open include Payless Foot Locker and MOD Pizza.

Dave & Buster’s has other locations in Capital Heights, Maryland, at Arundel Mills and at Springfield Town Center in Springfield, Virginia.

Petrie Richardson and Rockwood Capital acquired the former City Place Mall in 2012 and have spent four years renovating the 350,000-square-foot property at 8661 Colesville Road, across from the Fillmore Silver Spring.

Annapolis-based Petrie Richardson also owns and operates Woodmore Towne Center in Glenarden, Maryland.
