WASHINGTON — If you were hoping to watch the Orioles game at work on Monday, you will have to find something else to do. The game has been postponed due to weather.
The O’s were set to take on the Red Sox at 11:05 a.m. on Monday as part of Boston’s Patriots Day celebrations, which usually start around 11 a.m. because of the Boston Marathon.
MLB has been dealing with a string of bad weather all across the country that has wreaked havoc on the early part of the schedule for most teams. Six games were canceled on Sunday, the most since 2008 and in Minnesota the Twins had to cancel their entire series against the White Sox.
The game will be made up on Thursday, May 17. No time has been announced for the make up game. This is the sixth time that the Red Sox Patriots Day game has been postponed due to weather and the first time since 1984.
