Todd Dybas is the managing editor and co-founder of The Sports Capitol. He has spent 17 years in the sports editorial industry, working as a writer and layout editor, winning multiple awards in both positions.

Todd came to the District in August of 2014. In the three years that followed, he was present for several layers of the D.C. area’s sports pain. Todd was at the 2014, 2016 and 2017 National League Division Series failures. He watched the Redskins lose to the Giants in 2016 to close the season with a playoff-denying loss. He has twice covered the Wizards being eliminated from the playoffs. He also covered the most recent Caps-Penguins series. It was enough to make Todd think it was him, until he asked around.

He has been an NFL beat writer, has worked as a member of the Baseball Writers’ Association of America for seven years, and is a member of the Pro Basketball Writers Association.

Todd heads The Sports Capitol’s Nationals coverage, supplements the Wizards coverage, and adds to the Redskins and Capitals coverage. He also oversees the day-to-day operations of the site.
