Molly Welton is WTOP’s community liaison.  She addresses programming questions, concerns and requests for information.  She also works with community and charitable organizations and coordinates WTOP’s public service announcements.

Welton has been with WTOP since 2003, beginning in the newsroom.  As the senior technical operations and engineering assistant she was often the link between the newsroom, field reporters and engineering staff for everything from the day-to-day news operations to technical problems with broadcast equipment and signals.

It has been said that an army marches on its stomach.  In the same way, a newsroom runs on coffee.  Making sure the coffee machines are working, the beans are stocked and the java flows freely 24 hours a day might be Welton’s most important duty at WTOP.
