Originally from Ohio, John has spent his entire career with WTOP in Washington, DC. Starting in the marketing department in 1996, John was able to get involved with the online world at the early stages of the Dot-com Boom. Throughout the last 18 years, John has helped grow WTOP.com into a profitable and award winning online utility for the Washington, DC community.
John also helped launch FederalNewsRadio.com in 2000 as the world’s first, Internet- only, radio station and website targeting the federal government. Today the station is on a 50,000 watt AM station. Federal News Radio has been profitable since day 1. John is currently the Director of Digital Media for Hubbard, DC responsible for all online and mobile initiatives for WTOP and Federal News Radio.com.
John is a graduate of E.W. Scrips School of Journalism at Ohio University and has his MBA from American University.
