Dean Lane is celebrating more than 20 years on the “NightSide” here at WTOP Radio — 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. is his gig!

Dean’s goal as a journalist is to let you know what’s going on — right now — in the most informative and entertaining way possible. Over the last 20 years, he’s had the privilege of bringing you many conversations with some very interesting and exciting people: Bill Maher, Kathie Lee Gifford, Harry Connick Jr. and Phylicia Rashad, to name a few.

Really, he’s a storyteller! And his listeners — those ending their day with Dean and who want to know “what” happened, and those who rise for an early breakfast and want to know what’s “going” to happen — are always the top priority.

For the most part, Dean lives a quiet life with friends and family. When not on the air, you can find him watching an old movie or on the balcony with a glass of wine and cuddled up with his kitty “Samantha” (after all, she is in charge).
