Technical Operations Manager
Brian Oliger is WTOP’s Technical Operations Manager, overseeing newsroom technology, communications and emergency preparedness.
He is a native of Cleveland, Ohio and holds a B.A. in broadcast journalism from Washington & Lee University.
Brian has worked both on the air and in the technical side of radio and television for the past 30 years in Cleveland, Philadelphia and Washington, and is 1996 AIR (Achievement in Radio) award winner.
He’s a member of the Society of Broadcast Engineers, Radio-Television Digital News Association and the National Press Club among numerous professional organizations.
He is a die-hard Nats and Caps fan, along with the Cleveland Browns and Indians and Ohio State Buckeyes. He’s a convertible enthusiast, devoted gadget junkie and unapologetic night owl.
