Brian McNally is a senior staff writer and co-founder of The Sports Capitol. He is also an award-winning multimedia journalist, who has covered the Redskins, Capitals and Nationals for the Washington Examiner, Washington Times and 106.7 The Fan, and major events like the Super Bowl, NCAA basketball tournament, Stanley Cup playoffs, NBA playoffs, NFL Combine and NFL Draft.
The National Sports Media Association named Brian the Washington, D.C. sportswriter of the year in 2012. He is a Silver Spring, Md. native and a graduate of the University of Maryland and Gonzaga College High School.
As a prep sports reporter for the Journal Newspapers and the Examiner from 2001 to 2008, no one knows quicker routes to every high school in the D.C. region. Brian has covered events at almost all of them – from DeMatha to Dunbar, Stone Ridge to Stone Bridge, T.C Williams to Woodbridge.
Brian leads The Sports Capitol’s Washington Capitals coverage, supplements the site’s Redskins and Nationals coverage, and contributes to its Wizards coverage.
