Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg changes diapers, posts daddy pics

WASHINGTON — In the world of proud papas posting pics of their babies on Facebook, this new dad has one mega captive audience.

And you bet he’s using it.

Facebook co-founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg has more than 43.6 million Facebook followers, and is clearly taking advantage of his two-month paternity leave to get all into the dad thing: changing diapers, cuddling on the floor, and as one Mashable writer points out, mixing it up in the comments.

In proof that Zuckerberg may have more time on his hands than he’s used to, he has been, like many new dads, active in Facebook comments. He’s posting many, many comments about (in no particular order): changing his baby’s diaper, explaining the meaning of Hanukah(“It’s the Festival of Lights for Jews and a holiday about hope,” Rabbi Zuckerberg explained) and offering pep talks — as well as posting at length and responding to skeptics in the comments to clarify his precedent-setting $45 billion donation.

Zuckerberg and wife Priscilla Chan announced the birth of their  daughter Max on Dec. 1. At the same time, they said they would be donating 99 percent of their Facebook shares — about $45 billion — over the course of their lives “to join many others in improving this world for the next generation.”

Just last month, Facebook announced that it would provide four months paid family leave to all new parents — moms and dads — for everyone in the company, stateside and global.
