Public meetings set on charitable gaming in Va.

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — Charitable gaming in Virginia will be the focus of a series of public meetings hosted by the state Office of Charitable and Regulatory Programs.

Possible topics could include current regulatory practices and possible regulatory and legislative changes.

The first meeting is scheduled Tuesday at the Virginia State Capitol Building in Richmond.

Other meetings will be held Sept. 3 in Virginia Beach and Sept. 5 in Vienna.

Charitable gaming includes bingo, instant bingo and raffles.
