Police investigating human remains found at school

WASHINGTON (AP) — Police in Washington are investigating after construction workers unearthed what appear to be human remains while doing work at an elementary school in Georgetown.

Police say the bones appear to be antiquities. They were found Friday around 10 a.m. by construction workers who were digging while doing work at Hyde-Addison Elementary School at 3219 O St. NW.

Detectives will remove the bones and try to determine their origin.
